ConTab command

Usage:

ConTab [(Col&)]

Legacy Syntax:

n/a

Pseudo-object Syntax:

n/a

Moves the print position to a new column.

Without a parameter, ConTab moves the print position to the beginning of the next 14-column print zone. That is, the position is moved to the next multiple of 14 columns plus 1 (column 15, 29, etc.). This simulates the behavior of a comma in the PB/CC PRINT expression list.

If the optional parameter is given, it specifies a column number to move to. For example, ConTab(20) will move the print position to column 20 of the current line, if this is ahead the current position. If the specified column is equal to or less than the current position, the print position moves to that column on the next line. This simulates the behavior of a TAB item in the PB/CC PRINT expression list.

If the implied or specified position is beyond the end of the current line, the print position is moved to the next line.
